The unique architecture of the medieval citadel, the rich cultural and also spiritual inheritance, the positive attitude of the community towards culture, arts and civilization transform Sibiu city into the exposition city of Romania. Not without reason, at the beginning of 2007, “The Guardian”, a British publication, placed the city on the 9th place in the top 50 world’s cities worth to be visited.

2007, the year of Sibiu - The European Capital of Culture, attracted tourists from throughout the world to the citadel. Museums, architectural monuments, churches of every Christian belief, natural parks and all cultural buildings opened their gates wide for the tourists from all over, like a book opens in front of a story lover. We mention here just a few places of cultural importance: Natural History Museum, Brukenthal National Museum, Evangelic church, the medieval citadel with all defense towers, ASTRA Open-air National Museum, Council Tower, the Liar’s Bridge and many other, that invite anyone to start a trip back in time and space.
